Main Responsibilities
- Global procurement responsibility for components and materials across various material group segments
- Responsible for sourcing and negotiating indirect materials and services to support local production operations
- Development and implementation of sourcing and category strategies in coordination with internal departments
- Independent execution of tenders and supplier negotiations regarding pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Legal and contractual safeguarding of supplier relationships in cooperation with legal and compliance teams
- Supplier management and development, including performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting the Quality department in supplier-related topics, including audits and corrective actions
- Ensuring supply security and supporting Supply Chain Management in escalations or supply disruptions
- Conducting procurement market analysis and identifying cost reduction opportunities (e.g., detailed cost analysis or benchmarking)
- Processing and monitoring of purchase orders, including order confirmations, invoice verification, and delivery tracking
- Managing deviations in delivery performance and initiating complaints where necessary
- Creating procurement reports and analyses to support strategic decisions
- Supporting redesign initiatives in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting Commodity Managers with various procurement-related tasks, particularly with suppliers in the Asian region
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement or purchasing, preferably in an international or multicultural environment
- Proven expertise in sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with cost analysis and procurement reporting
- Solid knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export processes
- Hands‑on experience with SAP is a must
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across departments and cultures
- High degree of initiative, ownership, and reliability
- Willingness to travel if required (domestically and/or internationally)
