Job summary

F5 Networks Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support the sales team with deep technical knowledge of F5 solutions and the broader ecosystem. The SE will engage customers and partners, translating business needs into effective security and application delivery solutions.

You’ll deliver technical presentations, design solutions, run proofs of concept, and collaborate with Account Managers to drive opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical skills and knowledge on F5 products and ecosystem.
• Ability to map customer requirements to F5 solutions and business impact.
• Capable of conducting technical demonstrations and Proofs of Concept across formats.

Role Overview

The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales and technical role with focus on customer/partners and is part of the sales organization. TheSE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 solutions to our customers.To be effective, an SE needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledge on both F5 products and the “eco-system” that we work in. Fear not, we do provide training and certification to keep abreast with these critical skills!

Thehigh-levelobjective is to achieve the allocated sales target and selling relevant F5 solutions and products to our customers business needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Manager. Fromourcustomer(s)perspective, the SE is a trusted adviser who proactively learns and understands their technical and business challenges andis able topropose effective solutions to mitigate their concerns/offer gainful solutions.The F5 SE not onlypresents the technical features but also business benefits in the Technical Value Proposition.

• Determine viability of opportunity and map out organizational structure.
• Drive the sales process in partnership with the Account Manager, by identifying the Technical Decision Maker, getting their technical validation, support, and sponsorship.
• Consistently provide world-class customer servicethrough the customer life cycle
• Work collaboratively with internal technical and salesresources, share best practices, updates,offerand seekexpertise as the need arisesin various opportunities.

• BS/BAor equivalent work experience
• 10+yearsrelated industry experiences
• AdvancedF5solutionknowledge andrelevant experience in key competitorofferingspreferred
• Expertisein securemulti-cloud architectures(knowledge ofF5 technologies, a plus)
• Experience with two or more public/private cloud vendors and automation toolsets
• Proficiency incontainerized/microservices architecture
• Proficiency in container orchestration solutions (ex:OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Proficient in multiple programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang,etc.)is a plus
• Expertise in joining/leading/organizing meetup to represent F5 is a plus
• Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, threats and controls, and web application firewall (preferred but not required).

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in leading initiatives
