Mission Description
Position Purpose: As a Solution Architect, you will join a team of Solution Architects who help project teams define their Solution Architecture while migrating the Information System of Wealth Management into the group Cloud platform. You will review their proposals with Enterprise Architects as well as Engineering/Production teams and Security teams to ensure that solutions proposed are aligned and compliant with group policies and group Cloud offering.
You will be assigned to a fixed set of IT Divisions/Departments (2 or 3) for which you will manage the solutioning for Cloud migration and BAU evolutions of the applications under their management. In addition, you may be assigned to specific transversal projects for which you will do the solutioning end-to-end.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Maintain the Division/Department architecture reference documentation all along the changes brought by projects:
- IT system diagrams (Division level, or per sub-block)
- Application referential (with the help of Application Owners)
- Division level principles and related non-conformities and remediation plans
- Obsolescence KPIs
- Lead the solution architecture on the projects you are assigned to:
- Supporting the Project Manager/Business Analysts during solution ideation, design, and implementation
- Collaborating with application teams and Business Analysts/Tech leads of impacted applications to design the solution
- Ensuring the alignment of projects with our architecture principles and IT standards
- Ensuring the solution is optimized for running on our IBM Private Cloud
- Support project managers and tech leads along the architecture validation process:
- Leading the build of a consistent architecture documentation
- Presenting his projects in architecture validation committee
- Being the reference point on a set of applications for support/evolution activities
- Supporting the architecture process till the go-live
- Bringing Cloud and architecture awareness to application teams
- Being the reference architect on a set of applications for support/evolution activities (having low architecture impacts), before and after they are migrated into the Cloud platform.
- Collaborate with following roles:
- Project managers/Business analyst of major transversal projects you are assigned to
- Tech leads/Developers, to understand the architecture of the applications/screens and analyze potential issues
- Application owner, to update the referential information on applications
- Engineering and Production team, to check the availability/compatibility with infrastructure/Cloud services
- Enterprise Architects, to facilitate the review and validation process.
- Ensure the reference documentation is updated all along the changes brought by projects:
- Application referential
- IT architecture diagrams and documents
- Application non-conformities and remediation plans
- Architecture principles, checklist, guidelines
Contributing Responsibilities
- Provide and share specific expertise on our Cloud capabilities and in selected technical areas.
- Participate to studies and proof-of-concepts with the business before a project is launched.
Profile Requirement
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory
- Experience on designing and developing Cloud-native solutions
- Experience on Cloud migration, integration patterns, high availability patterns, etc. (e.g. REST APIs, Container platforms, Event-driven architecture, etc.)
- Broad technical knowledge and experience across application, development frameworks and technologies
- Experience with Java/Spring/Angular, Oracle/PostgreSQL DB, Linux, API, Kafka etc.
- Functional/Business knowledge (of your current/past companies), ideally on core banking or portfolio management systems. Interest in Financial & Banking industry
- Experience working on a project or in an architecture team covering a large ecosystem of applications (30+)
- Experience in modeling activities (application maps, software design models, data modeling, infrastructure diagrams, etc.)
- Strong analysis skills with problem solving attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively in written documents and oral presentations, explaining concepts clearly to audiences at various levels of technical knowledge
- Effective leadership, planning and organization skills
Plus
- Experience of Enterprise Architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices
- Experience in Wealth Management, or Financial and Banking Industry
- Knowledge of a Wealth Management Core Banking System such as Temenos T24/Transact, ERI Olympic or Avaloq
- SCRUM/Agile experience
- Experience running Request for Proposal and assessing solutions

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 3+ years of experience architecting or developing solutions in a Cloud environment
- 5+ years of experience in IT either as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect
- Architecture certification (TOGAF) or Cloud Architect certification (AWS, IBM Cloud)
- IBM Cloud certification (101 and Bronze)
- Other Cloud Architect certification (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Architecture certification (TOGAF)
