Job summary

A consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a 2-year contract to manage the end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system. Responsibilities include preparing test environments, executing test procedures, and maintaining defect management. The ideal candidate has a degree in IT or Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in automation testing. A salary range of $5,000 to $7,000 per month is offered.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer for one of our esteemed clients to manage end-to-end testing of an integrated e-payment system, including planning, designing, executing, and automating tests while ensuring traceability and defect management across stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare test environments and create comprehensive test cases for full lifecycle testing.
  • Execute test procedures and develop automated test scripts using programming or scripting languages, including performance optimization.
  • Maintain traceability to requirements, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Record, track, and resolve defects through to closure.
  • Lead test reviews and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze root causes of production and UAT defects to improve testing effectiveness.
  • Develop clear test documentation and user guides for testers and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and developing test automation for devices (UI/embedded) or Cloud-based back‑office systems.
  • Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle, preferably in public transit/transportation systems.
  • Software testing certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Flexible with working hours, including night work during engineering periods.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between office and project sites.
