Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Software Development Lead to manage software projects within the government sector. This role involves overseeing a software team, integrating software components, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, experience in Java and C++, and over 4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are essential.

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • You will be a key technology partner to our customers in the government sector
  • Will work closely with the Customer, Project Manager and Technical Lead and you will be part of a project management team as part of an overall project implementation.
  • Lead a group of Software team and tester
  • Execute full software development lifecycle
  • Develop existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes
  • Proactively update customers and ensure they are satisfied with our support service
  • Able to support 24x7 within team rotation arrangement will be added advantage
  • Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
  • Work closely with team members and Solution Architect
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Maintain systems by monitoring and correcting software defects
  • Improve system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
  • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, preferably with PMP Certification
  • Ability to develop software in programming languages such as Java, C++, API etc
  • With more than 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Java EE, IBM WebSphere, scrum project
  • At least experience 2 rounds of SDLC
  • Possess initiative, positive attitude and strong passion in project and operation support.
  • Good communication skills and able to work independently.
  • Coordinate the contractors, customers and all the resources.
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Familiar with Government IT process and compliance will be added advantage.
