NEWTONE CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Software Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers responsible for development, enhancement, and support of mission-critical applications.

The role blends technical leadership with software delivery, production support, and customer engagement throughout the full software lifecycle. The ideal candidate will mentor engineers, manage the full SDLC, provide hands-on technical leadership, drive performance improvements, resolve production

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Min 5 years of experience leading software engineering or application development teams.
• Strong software development experience with Java and/or C++.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux environments.
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers across development and support activities.
• Manage the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, including code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and solution design.
• Enhance existing applications and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Manage production issues, perform impact analysis, and ensure resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Work closely with Solution Architects and project teams on system integration and technical implementation.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and software quality standards.
• Engage customers proactively and ensure high-quality technical support and service delivery.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
• Support pre‑sales activities and technical tender proposals where required.
