We are currently looking for Software Integration & Innovation Manager (R&D) to further support the growing needs from business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role supports Haier’s establishment of a secure embedded software infrastructure in Singapore for product deployment, while contributing to innovation and technology scouting within Haier’s global open-innovation network (HOPE Global). The position combines technical execution in software integration with focused scouting of relevant emerging technologies. The key responsibilities include:

A. Embedded Software Integration and Security

  • Operate and maintain Haier’s embedded software service platform in Singapore, including a secure GitLab-based version control system.
  • Collaborate with global R&D and cybersecurity teams on source-code scanning, compilation, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Manage secure data transmission, version control, and verification of embedded software prior to global repository synchronisation.
  • Conduct security validation, compilation tests, and compliance documentation to ensure audit-ready traceability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the software integration workflow to enhance data integrity, repeatability, and reliability.

B. Innovation & Technology Scouting

  • Identify and assess emerging technologies and materials with relevance to Haier’s appliance and digital-platform roadmap.
  • Engage with local start-ups, universities, and R&D institutes to evaluate collaboration or joint-development potential.
  • Prepare concise technology briefs and recommendations for internal evaluation and alignment with global initiatives.
KEY REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in C or C++ programming fundamentals (with a background in relevant university coursework)
  • Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., Cppcheck) to identify bugs and unsafe constructs in C/C++ software, including embedded environments.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in technology scouting or applied research analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).
