A global technology firm is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for its Hybrid Cloud Connectivity team in Singapore. This role involves recruiting and leading a new team while developing innovative cloud networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive software development experience, strong leadership skills, and fluency in Mandarin and English. In this role, you will build and operate (with SRE support) Cloud Interconnect, which virtualizes our edge and backbone, and allows enterprise customers to connect their on‑premises data centers/networks to GCP at 100 and 10 Gb/s speed. Interconnect has been one of the key features for GCP to onboard large enterprises and as such is a high impact project. You will also span in connecting smaller customers through partners, as well as building ultra‑low‑latency interconnects in order for customers to be able to use large file stores and databases operated by third‑parties, adjacent to (but not within) Google data centers. You will manage complexity from physical networks and routers through cloud virtualization.
You will help grow and manage a team in Hybrid Networking and Cloud Interconnect, a developer team with a strong and rapidly growing Cloud Product, lots of really interesting technical work, and interesting operational requirements.
