Job summary

About the Client

Contract duration – 12 months [renewable]

Responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness and transition for modernisation projects (COBOL Java backend, React frontend).
• Define, implement, and improve operational processes including monitoring, alerting, escalation, and support handover.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues and ensure system stability.
• Oversee cutover planning and knowledge transfer to long-term support and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and operational standards.
• Establish and manage SLAs/OLAs with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and business disruption.
• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity management.
• Develop and manage exit plans for vendor handover or contract closure.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide updates on operational readiness and service delivery.
• Prepare and present service delivery reports and meeting materials.
• Lead maintenance project meetings, track progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and service levels.

Requirements

• Strong experience in leading application operations and production support for modernisation systems.
• Hands‑on expertise with COBOL and Java-based applications.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services, monitoring tools, and ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management).
• Experience in cutover planning, operational handover, and service transition.
• Familiarity with enterprise security and audit compliance standards.
• Background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage service delivery reporting and facilitate project meetings.
• Experience in defining and managing SLAs/OLAs.
