Job summary

FLOTECH CONTROLS PTE LTD is seeking a candidate with an interest in industrial IoT, data analytics and developing cutting-edge analytics software for Industry 4.0.

Responsibilities include shaping system design with product managers, building data processing and analytics modules, and deploying applications in cloud environments. The role requires 1–3 years of programming experience and familiarity with IoT data and APIs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years programming experience with Python, Java, C++ or equivalent languages.
• Experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in processing large datasets from IoT sensor data.
• Good working knowledge of statistics and data analytics techniques.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) and deployment.

Job Scope:

• Determine user requirements and system design in collaboration with product managers, project teams and cloud engineers.


• Design and develop data processing, data monitoring and analytics scripts.


• Conduct data analysis using statistical and analytical techniques and develop analytics modules for real-time IoT data.


• Design and develop efficient APIs for data transfer and extraction.


• Application development and deployment using Cloud Native Services.


• System Administration duties such as monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, system recovery, perform periodic software updates.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or any related disciplines.


• 1-3 years’ programming experience with Python, Java, C++, or equivalent languages.


• Experience in developing web applications and RESTful APIs.
  
• Proficient in processing large datasets from IoT sensor data.


• Good working knowledge of statistics and data analytics techniques.


• Experience in cloud services and deployment on either AWS or Azure.


• Experience with databases such as SQL and MongoDB.


• Familiar with containerisation platforms and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.


• Knowledge of IoT architectures and associated internet and data transmission protocols such as MQTT, Apache Kafka etc.
