Job summary

Teamlease Digital Private Limited is seeking an experienced Software Engineer / AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-ready intelligent solutions. The role emphasizes AI, ML, data science, and software development across frontend, backend, cloud, and data architectures.

You will work in Agile teams to deliver scalable AI-powered applications, implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering/AI engineering experience.
• Hands-on AI/ML deployment experience.
• Experience with Python and cloud-based web applications.
• Familiarity with agentic AI, LLMs, and AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI/ML analytics and Generative AI solutions.
• Build and integrate AI agents, AI skills, harnesses, and MCP integrations.
• Develop scalable frontend, backend, cloud, database, and data architecture components.
• Build reusable engineering solutions with focus on automation, testing, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement and support CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders within Agile delivery teams.
• Define and assess non-functional requirements including performance, security, and reliability.
• Evaluate and implement enterprise data solutions and compliance needs.
• Support product roadmaps, releases, performance testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve performance and reliability of AI apps.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / AI Engineer with strong experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, and software development to design, build, and deploy production-ready intelligent solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver AI, Machine Learning, analytics, and Generative/Agentic AI solutions.
• Build and integrate AI agents, AI skills, harnesses, MCP integrations, and web applications.
• Develop scalable frontend, backend, cloud, database, and data architecture components.
• Build reusable engineering solutions with a focus on automation, testing, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement and support CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders within Agile delivery teams.
• Define and assess non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Evaluate and implement suitable database and data solutions in line with enterprise and compliance requirements.
• Support product roadmaps, releases, performance testing, monitoring, and continuous enhancement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve the performance and reliability of AI applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML or Generative AI applications.
• Exposure to Agentic AI, AI agents, LLMs, AI frameworks, open-source AI libraries, or AI tools.
• Strong software development experience with Python and/or other modern programming languages.
• Good understanding of web application development, APIs, backend services, databases, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to take solutions from POC through production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
