PayPal is hiring for a Reporting & Data Platform engineer to build and operate large-scale distributed systems powering critical business reporting, analytics, and decision-making. You'll work on Java, Spark, and BigQuery-based platforms and contribute to PayPal's transition to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The role focuses on scalable data platforms, cloud-native technologies, and collaboration with Finance, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming expertise in Java
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
• Experience working in Linux environments
