Job summary

Combuilder Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to support system implementation, perform technical analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, document solutions, and collaborate across domains to enhance system quality, maintainability, and stability.

The role covers frontend, backend, and supporting components; you will participate in feature development, defect fixes, testing, and code reviews to deliver high-quality software for enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, or Node.js for enterprise apps.
• Understand software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Familiar with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with REST APIs and service integrations.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyze logs and trace end-to-end system flows.
• Proficient technical writing for documentation.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Solace or Kafka.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be able to start immediately or on very short notice.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of frontend, backend, and supporting components to ensure system functionality and stability.
• Participate in feature development, enhancements, defects fixes, testing, and code reviews to deliver high-quality software.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze system behavior, identify dependencies, and implement effective solutions.
• Investigate application issues by tracing requests across multiple microservices and system components to identify root causes.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and development issues to enable timely resolution.
• Analyze logs, APIs, messaging flows, and database interactions to diagnose and resolve system problems.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve system performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, system flows, APIs, integration documents, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
• Review business requirements to identify ambiguities, missing information, dependencies, and technical risks proactively.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify functional and technical requirements for accurate solution delivery.
• Participate in solution discussions and impact assessments to support informed decision-making.
