Job summary

ByteDance Singapore offers an internship with the Global Payment team, providing hands-on experience in building robust payment systems. You will work on software architecture, coding, testing, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

As an intern, you’ll develop practical skills in payments, financial processes, and modern development practices while participating in learning programs and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, CS, or related technical discipline.
• Strong programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture for global payment systems;
• Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle;
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code;
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting;
• Review and debug code; Perform validation and verification testing;
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products;
• Document development phases and monitor systems;
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies

About The Team The Global Payment team provides payment and financial solutions -

• including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on the TikTok platform.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands‑on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real‑world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. • Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills; flexible and be a self‑starter.
• Agile, quick self learner, highly self‑motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver;
• Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack
• Interested in payment industry
