Job summary

Google's Payments team builds scalable, secure payment experiences across web, app, and in-store interactions. We are seeking software engineers to contribute to large‑scale systems and innovate across Android, backend, and data services.

You will design, implement, and ship features that improve user trust and streamline money movement, with opportunities to switch projects and collaborate with product, UX, and privacy teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with coding languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
• Experience designing, launching, and iterating on features or services.
• Experience building shared components, APIs, or platforms for other teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape experiences and services that determine what users should set up or discover next.
• Coordinate Wallet messages across notifications, in‑app surfaces, and email with user preferences and consent.
• Provide reusable blocks like CUJs, user profiles, and APIs for other Wallet teams.
• Run experiments with cross‑functional partners to measure and improve results against business goals.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to maintain system reliability at scale.
