Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking software engineers to help build next-generation wallet and payments features at scale. You will work on Android and server-side components, designing secure, seamless experiences and integrating with APIs to support client features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin).
• At least 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• At least 1 year of full-stack development across backend (Java, Kotlin, Go, C++) and frontend (Kotlin/Java/Swift).

Responsibilities

• Physical Access Solutions: Develop and expand digital access credentials for campus IDs, corporate badges, hotels, multi-family homes, and other secure entry use cases.
• NFC ecosystem: Develop software that interfaces with device hardware like NFC controllers, Secure Elements, and biometric sensors.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with Product Managers, UX Designers, Technical Program Managers, Business Development, Legal, and other engineering teams within Wallet and across Google. Engaging with external partners to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch new integrations.
• Android Platform Collaboration: Collaborate with Android platform teams to design and implement new APIs and capabilities that enhance Wallet functionality and security.
