Job summary

A leading staffing services provider in Singapore is seeking a candidate to lead the design and support of BASE24 software for EMV-based transaction processing in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have over 13 years of experience and deep expertise in managing transaction flows and troubleshooting complex issues. Strong communication skills and experience in the banking sector are required.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and support of BASE24 (ATM/POS/EPS) software components for EMV-based transaction processing.
• Manage end-to-end transaction flows including authorization, routing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues related to ATM/POS transaction processing.
• Integrate and support card management systems, GoldenGate replication, IST-ATM/POS, and Cortex-Authorizer solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust banking solutions.
• Optimize performance and ensure high availability in NonStop environments (HP NonStop/Tandem).
• Maintain and enhance legacy SCOBOL/COBOL85 code and migrate to newer technologies as needed.
• Utilize Prognosis for real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Provide production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis for critical banking applications.
• Document all technical work and adhere to compliance, security, and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 13+ years of experience in the banking domain with hands-on expertise in BASE24 transaction processing.
• Extensive experience in EMV-based ATM and POS transaction solutions.
• Proficient in TAL, TACL, SCOBOL, COBOL85, NonStop SQL, UNIX.
• Strong experience with BASE24-ATM, BASE24-POS, BASE24-EPS, GoldenGate, Card Management, IST-ATM/POS, Cortex-Authorizer, and Prognosis.
• Deep understanding of payment processing standards, message formats (ISO8583), and authorization flows.
• Experience with HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with migration projects, system upgrades, and EMV implementations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in banking and payments (PCI DSS, EMVCo, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and automation in a financial services environment.
