Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer (Build and Release Engineer) to own release management, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines across Windows and Unix environments. You will coordinate releases, prepare release notes, and collaborate with development teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in release management, strong scripting (Python, Shell), and experience with GIT/Jenkins/Jira, Perforce, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in release management.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, SQL, Shell scripting, ANT scripting and XML.
• Experience with Perforce, Git, Jenkins, Jira.
• Experience with VMWare and managing Virtual Machines.
• Familiarity with IEC, ISO, or CMMI standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in release management.
• Knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python, SQL, Shell scripting, ANT scripting and XML.
• Knowledge of C++ compilation, third-party COTS compilation and debugging using MS Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting build failures and build package dependency conflicts of both Windows and Unix offline environments
• Knowledge of MYSQL, SQLite and Oracle.
• Experience with Perforce, GIT, Jenkins and Jira .
• Experience with VMWare and managing Virtual Machines,
• Experience with IEC, ISO, or CMMI standards.
• Proficiency in software development, version control systems, build automation tools, and software quality management.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong understanding of configuration management tools and the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with different teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills for efficient issue resolution.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and in teams.
• Able to work under pressure, multitask, and coordinate tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain software quality.
