Job summary

IMDA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop innovative software solutions advancing Singapore's digital economy. You will contribute to AI verify and frontier tech projects, building scalable services and APIs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers, researchers and engineers, writing clean code, and maintaining documentation while following agile processes for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or in relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years experience as a software engineer or developer in successful software projects.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Python, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement software solutions.
• Develop clean, secure, efficient code using industry best practices.
• Take ownership of software quality with unit and integration tests and code reviews.
• Create technical documentation including code comments and design decisions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to deliver software iterations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot user-reported issues.
