Alta Exchange is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work in Singapore. You will leverage your full-stack skills to develop key applications for our Brokerage and Exchange platforms. About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Alta, you will leverage full‑stack skills in a modern, rapidly evolving environment. You will work with blockchain, DeFi, API‑service‑driven architectures, serverless infrastructure, data pipelines, front‑end frameworks, and no‑code platforms. You will build key applications for our Brokerage, Back‑Office Operations, Exchange, and Custody platforms and play a crucial role in shaping these products.

The Sorts Of Things You’ll Be Doing

• Play a key role on one or more technical teams as a contributor, technical advisor, and thought leader.
• Participate in code reviews within and outside your team to continuously improve code quality.
• Own deliverables, working with business stakeholders and peers from planning through release.
• Develop and enhance our infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with the Data team to evolve data schemas underpinning business processes.
• Expand our automated testing framework and engage in regular security testing.
• Stay current on tooling and industry best practices, ensuring we adopt the best solutions.
• Provide feedback on the tech stack, tooling, and culture to promote continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in multiple object‑oriented and/or functional programming languages (JavaScript/Node, Rails, Python, etc.).
• Deep understanding of building scalable, secure, and cloud‑native application architectures.
• Ability to choose appropriate coding patterns for testable code, using TDD principles where applicable.
• Proficiency with source control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket within a team context.
• Excellent code‑review habits, leading by example with constructive feedback.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling in relational and non‑relational databases.
• Familiarity with service‑oriented architectures and API‑driven system design.
