Job summary

ST Semiconductor Testing Pte. Ltd. is seeking an engineer to participate in R&D for photonics testing equipment alignment and characterization. You will develop test automation programs and post-process data to improve test efficiency.

Responsibilities include defining verification test plans, analyzing device performance, and providing feedback for design improvements. Travel regionally or overseas may be required, with strong analytical and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS or related field.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment or photonics testing preferred.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or C# with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Customer-facing and on-site/remote support experience.
• Data analysis using Excel, Python, or MATLAB.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer & Communication Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field
• Experience in semiconductor equipment, photonics testing, wafer processing, or laser systems is preferred
• Proficiency in C++/C# programming, PLC is also a PLUS
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills for customer interaction
• Customer-facing technical role (on-site and remote support)
• Semiconductor / wafer-level / die-level testing process optimization
• Familiar with tester instruments, e.g., Keysight / NI and tester software integration – LABVIEW application.
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving
• Willingness to travel regionally or overseas / Regional travel may be required
• Data analysis skills (Excel, Python, or MATLAB)
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment is a PLUS
