Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in Singapore is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to support end-to-end Agentic AI development—from prompt engineering to production deployment—designing, building, and deploying AI agents integrated with enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with users to refine use cases and improve reliability, latency and output quality, leveraging Python, APIs/JSON, OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, and experience with LangChain or vector databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong Python and API experience.
• Experience with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI APIs.
• Experience building small LLM apps, chatbots, or RAG systems.
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases.
• Basic cloud deployment (Azure/AWS/Docker).

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Agentic AI Development: design/build AI agents (multi-step workflows, tool usage, memory).
• Prompt → Context Engineering: design system/task prompts and context windows; retrieval strategies.

THE ROLE:

We are hiring a Junior AI Engineer to supportend-to-end Agentic AI development— from prompt engineering and context engineering to production deployment.

You will design, build, and deploy AI agents integrated with enterprise systems, while working closely with users in real-world environments (Forward Deployment Engineering).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

End-to-End Agentic AI Development

• Design and build AI agents (multi-step workflows, tool usage, memory)
• Implement function calling and structured outputs
• Develop RAG pipelines and context management strategies
• Optimize reliability, latency, and response quality

Prompt → Context Engineering

• Design system and task prompts
• Engineer context windows and retrieval strategies
• Reduce hallucinations and improve consistency
• Develop evaluation and testing frameworks

Forward Deployment Engineering (FDE)

• Deploy AI solutions into live business workflows
• Integrate with APIs, databases, ERP systems
• Work directly with stakeholders to refine use cases
• Monitor, debug, and continuously improve production systems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong Python programming skills
• Understanding of APIs, JSON, and basic ML/NLP concepts
• Structured problem-solving mindset
• Experience with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs
• Built small LLM apps, chatbots, or RAG systems
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases
• Understanding of function calling, embeddings, context management
• Basic cloud or deployment experience (Azure/AWS/Docker)

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / AI / Software Engineering or related field
