Job description
Software Developer (Web Application) - Smart IR Marina Bay Sands•Singapore, SG

At Marina Bay Sands, the primary responsibility of the Software Developer will be to execute all software development related activities for the local MBS system/application projects whilst aligning to standards & best practices followed within the organization.

Job Scope
  • Responsible for the design, development, and testing of the software application.
  • Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for company IT projects and to interface with various project stakeholders such as 3rd party vendor suppliers, business users and other team members to perform the project activities.
  • Documenting the application detailed solution design and specifications
  • Troubleshoot the defects/incidents and resolving technical issues
  • Experienced in deploying services and applications on windows server environment
  • Adhere to, influence, and advocate internal software design & development standards, processes, and best practices such as but not limited to code re-use, scalability, portability, security, etc.
  • Work closely with the application development team members and architects to develop code that is aligned to approved design and specifications.
  • Work closely with the QA teams to ensure any defects highlighted in QA or UAT phases are remediated.
  • Adhere to SDLC, project governance internal and regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • 5-7 years software development experience and can demonstrate strong understanding of requirements specification, design, coding, and testing of software application.
  • Proficient in the usage of .Net technologies, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, C#, Java Script, AngularJS, Vue.js, Entity Framework, WCF, REST APIs and web services.
  • Proficient in the usages of RDBMS – MS SQL.
  • Applies well-defined and disciplined development, implementation, and production processes.
  • Proven & demonstrable hands‑on experience in developing high‑availability, multi‑tiered and secure web applications
  • Good debugging and troubleshooting skills using IDEs such as Visual Studio.
  • Good to have knowledge on tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with business users in non‑technical terms.
  • High degree of responsiveness to enquiries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work well in a collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders.
