Job summary

NTT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Java backend developer to join on a 6-month renewable contract at our Singapore East location. You will develop, enhance, and support backend applications and REST APIs, participate in design reviews, and help modernize existing solutions.

The role requires strong SQL querying, data analysis, and experience with CI/CD and Agile delivery. Collaboration with stakeholders and robust production support are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in Java backend development.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs and SQL data analysis.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support Java-based backend applications and REST APIs.
• Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and application modernization initiatives.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis and write complex SQL queries to investigate issues, validate requirements, and support operational activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive solution delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Perform testing, defect resolution, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
• Support SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-release stabilization activities.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Technical Skills

• Min 3+ years Strong experience in Java backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Strong ability to analyze, troubleshoot, optimize, and write complex SQL queries.
• Experience performing data analysis and root cause investigation using SQL across large and complex datasets.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Linux/Unix and Shell scripting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and related development tools.
