Job summary

Machina Capital, a cutting-edge systematic investment manager in Singapore, seeks a Software Developer for the Core Engineering Team. You will design and implement a high-performance trading platform with a focus on reliability, scalability, and real-time data handling.

You will work across Windows and Linux, contribute to risk controls and simulations, and help grow the Core Engineering group through mentoring and recruitment collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and OO programming (preferably in .Net).
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a trading platform that collects quotes and trades and disseminates orders to global exchanges.
• Optimizing the platform using network and systems programming for high efficiency and reliability.
• Building and enhancing automated risk controls, risk monitoring, and real-time reconciliation systems.
• Developing systems that provide access to historical market data and robust trading simulations.
• Mentoring, interviewing, and contributing to recruitment within the Core Engineering team.

• Designing and implementing a trading platform that includes collecting quotes and trades and disseminating orders to global exchanges.
• Optimizing this platform using network and systems programming and other advanced techniques to ensure high efficiency and reliability.
• Building and enhancing automated risk controls, risk monitoring solutions, and real-time reconciliation systems.
• Developing systems that provide seamless access to historical market data and robust trading simulations.
• Contributing to the evolution of the Core Engineering team by mentoring, conducting interviews, and participating in recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming, preferably in .Net.
• Strong understanding of both Windows and Linux environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. French proficiency is a plus.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with additional development languages, such as Python or shell scripting, is a plus.
• Passionate about building robust and resilient in-house trading systems.
