Job Summary

Albatec is seeking a Software Developer to design and build an on‑premise Integrated Business System to replace legacy tools and manual processes. This is a hands‑on role with full ownership of system design, development, and long‑term maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of an integrated internal business system encompassing mail handling, CRM, orders, inventory, production, quality, human resources, and reporting to streamline operations and replace legacy tools
• Design and optimize SQL Server 2019 databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and system performance
• Collaborate directly with end users through iterative development cycles to gather feedback and refine system functionality for enhanced usability
• Implement secure role‑based access controls and enable remote access to safeguard sensitive business data
• Produce clear, maintainable, and well‑documented code using Visual Studio with VB.NET, C#, and VBA within a Microsoft technology stack
• Manage the full software development lifecycle independently, ensuring long‑term system stability and maintainability in an on‑premise, 64‑bit server environment with minimal third‑party dependencies

Required Competencies and Certifications

• Strong foundation in VBA, VB.NET, and/or C# programming within a Microsoft technology stack
• Proficient in SQL Server development, including database design and optimization
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage full lifecycle development of internal business systems

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

• Experience with CRM or ERP‑style systems to support integrated business processes
• Knowledge of email handling protocols and security standards (SMTP, POP3, IMAP, SSL/TLS) to facilitate mail system integration
• Familiarity with inventory, manufacturing, or quality management systems to enhance system relevance to operational workflows
