Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Software Developer to design, develop, and optimize custom applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Flow Designer, scripting, catalog items, and workflow automation. You will play a key role in enhancing user experience and operational efficiency through intelligent automation and streamlined service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Application Development: Build and maintain custom applications tailored to business needs using ServiceNow Studio and scoped applications.
- Flow Designer Expertise: Design and implement complex workflows using Flow Designer, including multi‑task flows, rollback mechanisms, and conditional logic.
- Scripting: Develop and optimize server‑side and client‑side scripts (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts).
- Order Guides & Variables: Configure Order Guides with dynamic variables, managing both left and right panel behaviors for intuitive user experiences.
- Email Notifications: Create and manage email templates and notification triggers based on workflow events and user actions.
- Script Optimization: Refactor and streamline existing scripts for performance, readability, and maintainability.
- Catalog Item Development: Design and configure Service Catalog items with associated workflows, variables, and user interface policies.
- Workflow Automation: Build and maintain workflows using both legacy Workflow Editor and Flow Designer, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Rollback Mechanisms: Implement rollback strategies within Flow Designer to ensure data integrity and error handling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with strong understanding of the platform architecture.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting components.
- Hands‑on experience with Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and Workflow Editor.
- Familiarity with Order Guides, variables configuration, and UI customization.
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to ITSM, ITOM, or HRSD modules.
- Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs.
