Job description
Role

Experienced Software Developer responsible for managing end-to-end IT service operations, including incident handling, change management, and system upgrades across Java/.NET applications on Unix and Windows. Skilled in systems analysis, stakeholder coordination, and vendor management with strong SDLC knowledge. Proficient in web technologies, .NET Core, and database integration. Adept at problem‑solving, performance optimization, and ensuring system reliability in complex IT environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the day‑to‑day operations of IT services
  • Manage outsourced vendors and in‑house contractors to meet the delivery and operation needs of IT services
  • Manage change request, service request and production support issues and ensure service levels are met
  • Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured to meet system objectives
  • Review post‑production issues and identify root cause and work with vendors on preventive measures
  • Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patches
  • Manage the verification of software patches and upgrades for applications
  • Measure, monitor and continuously improve performances of IT service
The Talent
  • Bachelor or higher degree in IT or equivalent
  • At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in application production support on Java and .NET applications in both Unix and Windows operating environments
  • Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment
  • Understand SDLC and experience working with business users, various IT teams and vendors
  • Knowledge of web languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with .NET Core
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (e.g. IIS, WebSphere Application Server)
  • Prior experience working as a Systems Analyst for a Government organization will be a big plus
  • Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technology
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required
  • Possess strong information acquisition, analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Good organization skills and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment
