Job summary

A community service organisation in Singapore seeks a professional to facilitate workshops and deliver educational programmes for families. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Work with 5 years of experience in Family Life Education. The role requires excellent communication skills and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends. This is a contract position with responsibilities including community outreach and volunteer management.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' experience in Family Life Education or 3 years’ experience in social work or counselling.
  • Willingness to work some Saturdays and weekday evenings.
  • Preferably with experience in community engagement and volunteer management.
  • Specialist training in Triple P Positive Parenting, Signpost for Better Behaviour, or Prepare and Enrich is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops, and deliver educational programmes for married couples, parents and families, promoting positive family relationships.
  • Collaborate with social workers and counsellors to implement intervention strategies and meet diverse needs.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for workshops and family coaching sessions.
  • Community building: collaborate with schools and local organisations to increase awareness and participation in family life education programmes.
  • Volunteer management: recruit, train, and engage volunteers to support outreach and programme activities, fostering a strong network of community initiatives.
  • Outreach and engagement: Lead initiatives to connect with diverse community groups, encouraging active involvement and support for family-focused programmes.
Requirements:
