Job Summary

The Social Worker / Case Worker is responsible for delivering professional social work interventions, programmes, and community development initiatives to address service gaps in the community.

This role involves conducting casework and group work, facilitating community need assessments, collaborating with external agencies and ministries, and providing guidance to junior team members to uplift social work practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
Casework Management
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and needs assessments for clients and families.
  • Formulate, implement, and review care plans, goal settings, and strategic interventions.
  • Prepare objective social reports, case notes, and clinical documentation.
  • Review casework interventions continuously to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Conduct case closures upon achieving sustainable, positive outcomes for clients, families, and communities.
Group Work Interventions
  • Support the strategic planning and facilitation of group work interventions and programmes.
  • Review group work activities continuously to optimize program effectiveness and impact.
Community Development Work
  • Conduct environmental scans and community needs assessments to identify emerging social service gaps.
  • Implement and review community development initiatives to strengthen local support ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and sector partners to pool and mobilize community resources.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
  • Build strong rapport and professional relationships with clients, families, and key support networks.
  • Engage collaboratively in cross-disciplinary social work practices and multi-agency care networks.
Professional Practice & Operations
  • Participate in research initiatives to uplift professional social work practices and care models.
  • Respond effectively to crisis situations in compliance with organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and operational supervision to junior staff members.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
  • Possess a recognized Degree in Social Work OR a Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work / Social Sciences / related disciplines (e.g., Psychology) from an accredited institution.
Relevant Experience
  • Prior experience as a Social Worker or Case Worker is an advantage.
  • Accreditation as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) is highly preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with a passion for community service are welcome to apply.
