Job summary

IBM Singapore seeks a Junior-Mid Level Cyber Security Analyst to join the Cyber Security Rapid Response Team - Security Monitoring. This role focuses on monitoring, investigations, and analysis to thwart threats, coordinating with the Rapid Response Incident Team and MSSPs to support detection, triage, containment, and reporting.

This position requires a fast learner with knowledge of networking, SIEM/EDR, and cloud security, plus strong communication to stakeholders and contributions to threat

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in SOC, threat hunting, or threat intel.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, ECEH, Sec+ or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols.
• Experience with fast-paced incident response.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages.
• Experience with EDR and SIEM tools (CrowdStrike Falcon is a plus).
• Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience with Docker.
• Windows and Linux system administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and investigate incidents to thwart threats.
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Incident Team and MSSPs for detection and containment.
• Document actions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support threat intelligence sharing and security control improvements.
• Operate security monitoring tools and analytics platforms to identify risks.
