Job Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development (60% hunter & 40% farmer)
- Handle existing customers and identify/ develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and sales visits.
- Actively perform a sales role by seeking out and acquiring new and existing clients.
- Deliver effective and compelling sales pitches to potential customers.
- Consistently achieve sales targets aligned with management's expectations.
Price & Contract Negotiations
- Participate in contract discussions and price negotiations with clients.
- Offer competitive and cost-effective solutions tailored to client needs.
- Strive to provide the best customer experience and maintain professional standards throughout the negotiation process.
Client Relationship Management
- Prepare air freight quotation (main role), work with sea freight, warehousing and road transportation for quotation when required.
- Follow up shipment movement with overseas agents and update customers closely.
- Manage client expectations and address inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the customers on common/recurrent service issues and provide improvements/ solutions.
- Contact customers following sales call to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Accounts, and Customer Service to fulfill client requirements and meet targets.
- Coordinate effectively across teams to ensure seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
- Check freight rates, transportation charges, manpower charges and all other charges in order to prepare the customer’s quotation request.
- The flexibility of ideas to transfer risk management into alternative solutions to ensure any service disruption could be recovered smoothly.
Requirements
- Min. Diploma with at least 5 years of farmer and hunter experience in Air freight, preferably in freight forwarding industry.
- Committed, proactive and self-motivated with pleasant personality.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Sales Oriented; Good team player with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Able to start work immediately would be advantageous.
