Primary Objectives of Position
- Build up the new repair/overhaul capability to support the department’s expansion.
- Plan and coordinate with the repair/overhaul team and other teams to propose repair/overhaul solutions to ensure the team is able to perform the newly assigned tasks within an established standard and quality.
- Responsible for the safety, welfare and discipline of the teams.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the team’s equipment/tools and working environment
Major Responsibilities
- Design and develop the Advance Test Equipment (ATE) to support the new repair and overhaul capability and develop the work instruction or troubleshooting guide.
- Provide the necessary technical support and advice to the troubleshooting team by conducting circuit analysis or through reverse engineering.
- Demonstrate strong ability in diagnostic and troubleshooting electronic systems.
- Oversee the testing and validation of the ATE and their components to upkeep reliability and durability while ensuring equipment are properly calibrated.

Specific Safety Responsibilities
- To comply with SBST’s Safety, Health and Security Policies
- To implement and conduct periodic safety inspection and safety audit on maintenance teams to ensure compliance with the specific standards.
- To ensure that the maintenance and modifications work performed on the equipment and repairable by the workshop is in compliance with the safety standards and operating specifications.
- Responsible for the ensuring of the implementation Safety within the team.
Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
- For Degree holder, minimum 5 years of working experience in electronics product development or test equipment development.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong knowledge in electronics on the mixed analog and digital circuit. Knowledge in the domain of micro-controller, TTL/CMOS, inverter/IGBT, RS485/232, CAN, USB etc are preferred.
- Capable to perform circuit analysis and PCBA board evaluation.
- Experience in design and developing the ATE or product development in R&D environment. Those with hands‑on experience are preferred.
- Knowledge on PLC, Teradyne, NI test-bench/TPS, lab-view programming/test script will be an advantage.
- Familiar with various instruments and software such as functional generator, Oscilloscope, LCR Meter, Computer-aided design (CAD).
