Job summary

WSA – Wonderful Sound for All is seeking a Smart Lean Intern to support engineers in shopfloor studies and Lean initiatives within a medical device manufacturing environment. You will analyze data, participate in Kaizen projects, and help implement Industry 4.0 concepts while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and digital manufacturing within a global, inclusive company.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field.
• Interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or Lean methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, hands-on, and willing to learn in a shopfloor environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities
• Participate in Kaizen workshops and process improvement projects
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
• Develop dashboards, reports, and project presentations
• Assist in implementing Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives
• Document best practices and standard work
