Overview

Sitecore Architect Role

Role Overview

  • Lead architecture, modernization and delivery of enterprise-grade Sitecore platforms across Banking, Insurance, Healthcare and Public Sector clients.
  • Drive adoption of Composable DXP, Headless architecture, and Cloud-native delivery models.
  • Collaborate with global DevSecOps, Cloud and AI Engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure digital experience platforms.
  • Report to the Senior Director & Global Head – Application Architecture, Engineering & Delivery (GenAI, DevSecOps, Digital Experience).
Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture & Solution Design
    • Define end-to-end Sitecore architecture for XP/XM/XC (v10+) and XM Cloud.
    • Architect Headless/Composable DXP solutions using Sitecore JSS, SXA, Next.js, React, or Angular.
    • Design microservice-based APIs with ASP.NET Core, GraphQL, REST, and Azure API Management.
    • Build robust content architecture, multisite/multilingual strategy, and taxonomy governance.
    • Plan high-availability and DR using Azure App Service, SQL, Blob Storage, CDN, and App Gateway WAF.
  • Cloud & DevSecOps Enablement
    • Design deployment topologies for Azure AKS, App Service Environment, and Container Apps.
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML) integrating SAST, DAST, and IaC security scans.
    • Manage IaC via Terraform or Bicep for environment provisioning and governance.
    • Integrate Application Insights, Monitor, and Log Analytics for observability.
    • Align to OWASP SPVS 1.0, NIST SSDF, and CIS Benchmarks for secure pipeline operations.
  • Integration & Ecosystem Connectivity
    • Integrate Sitecore with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Customer Insights (CDP), and Marketing Automation platforms.
    • Implement OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and Azure Entra ID for SSO and IAM.
    • Connect Content Hub One, DAM systems, and external APIs through secure adapters.
    • Leverage Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus for event-driven extensions.
  • Performance, Security & Compliance
    • Optimize rendering performance and caching using Solr, Azure Cognitive Search, or Elastic Cloud.
    • Apply security controls: CSP, XSS/CSRF mitigation, and secure headers.
    • Ensure compliance with MAS TRM, PDPA, and GDPR for regulated industries.
    • Implement automated vulnerability and dependency scans via Client Secure Edge/TIP 2.0.
  • Leadership & Governance
    • Lead cross-functional engineering teams and define solution blueprints for re-use.
    • Conduct architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and security audits.
    • Mentor developers on Helix principles and Composable DXP best practices.
    • Collaborate with UX, Data, and Cloud teams to ensure end-to-end experience delivery.

  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400)
  • TOGAF 9.x or equivalent Enterprise Architecture framework
