Role Summary
The Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating site activities during engineering hours for tunnel and MRT station maintenance / upgrade works. This is a hands-on role on site, ensuring workers and subcontractors carry out the works safely, correctly and within the limited possession time. The Site Supervisor works closely with the Site / Project Engineer and reports site issues, progress and safety matters promptly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Coordination & Supervision
- Supervise daily / nightly site works during engineering hours, including civil, structural, architectural and M&E trades.
- Coordinate work sequences according to the night work plan and instructions from the Site / Project Engineer.
- Ensure workers and subcontractors are present, properly briefed and deployed to the correct work fronts.
- Check that tools, equipment and materials required for the shift are available and in working condition before engineering hours.
2. Safety & Housekeeping
- Enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements, LTA / rail operator rules and project safety procedures at all times.
- Conduct toolbox briefings together with the safety personnel / engineer before work starts.
- Ensure workers use proper PPE and follow safe work procedures, especially in tunnel, track and confined spaces.
- Stop unsafe work and report any near-miss incidents, hazards or accidents immediately.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and ensure the site is cleared and safe before handing back the track / station.
3. Quality & Workmanship
- Check workmanship and ensure works are carried out according to drawings, method statements and instructions from the engineer.
- Highlight any discrepancies, clashes or site constraints to the Site / Project Engineer for clarification.
- Assist in arranging and accompanying client / operator representatives for site inspections when required.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Record daily / nightly site activities: manpower, equipment, work locations, quantities completed and issues faced.
- Take site photos and mark-up sketches where necessary to support progress reporting and claims.
- Provide feedback to the Site / Project Engineer on progress, delays, safety issues and additional resources needed.
5. Coordination with Other Parties
- Work closely with the Site / Project Engineer, Safety Officer, Foremen and subcontractor supervisors.
- Coordinate work fronts to avoid clashes between different trades in the limited possession window.
- Cooperate with station staff and authorized personnel for access control, permits and logistics.
Requirements
- NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Mechanical / Electrical or related disciplines; relevant site experience without formal qualifications may also be considered.
- Preferably 2–5 years of site experience in construction, infrastructure, MRT / rail, tunnel or building projects.
- Comfortable with regular night work (11:00pm – 5:00am) and weekend / public holiday work as required.
- Basic knowledge of civil / structural / M&E works and common construction tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with WSH requirements and safe work practices in confined spaces and live rail / station environments is an advantage.
- Able to read basic construction drawings and follow instructions from engineers.
- Able to communicate effectively with multi-national site workers and supervisors (English required; additional languages an advantage).

Location: Singapore (tunnels & MRT stations)
Working Hours: Predominantly night shift during engineering hours (typically 11:00pm - 5:00am), with occasional day work for meetings and briefings as required.
