Job summary

ByteDance in Singapore is seeking interns for its Infrastructure Engineering team. The program offers hands-on experience building and operating hyperscale data center solutions, with exposure to cloud services and reliability-focused projects.

Interns will participate in the full lifecycle of services, from design to deployment, and work on capacity planning, monitoring, and automation to improve system health and velocity.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
• Support services before they go live through activities such as capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Support and maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

About the Team

The Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Minimum Qualification(s)

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.


• Experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, Python etc.

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Good problem-solving, analytical thinking capabilities and exceptional attention to details.


• Good communication and collaboration skills.
