Navsar Global is partnering with a leading client in the heavy industrial sector to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer (Mechanical). This is a critical 1-year contract role focused on supervising the construction works for a Balance of Plant (BOP) Mechanical & Water package. Role
As a Site Engineer (Mechanical), you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of all mechanical construction activities on-site. You will be responsible for overseeing work progress, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver the project safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and monitor all mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications, engineering drawings, and approved construction procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical-related work progress, site inspections, and seamless coordination with other disciplines, including Civil, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
- Champion a culture of safety and efficiency, ensuring all works are executed in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and within the approved project schedule.
- Oversee daily construction activities, including but not limited to the fabrication, installation, alignment, and testing of various mechanical systems and components.
- Rigorously verify that all mechanical installations, such as piping networks, equipment placement, and structural supports, are carried out precisely according to Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings and approved method statements.
- Facilitate effective coordination with subcontractors, Quality Control (QC) personnel, and Safety officers to maintain a smooth, safe, and productive workflow across the site.
- Proactively identify, highlight, and report any potential workfront constraints, design clashes, or technical issues to the Construction Manager immediately, proposing practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation related to mechanical works.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in construction supervision for heavy industrial projects, preferably in sectors such as power generation, data centres, oil & gas, or similar environments, with a specific focus on BOP Mechanical & Water packages.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, equipment installation, and structural supports.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings (P&IDs, Isometrics, GA drawings), specifications, and method statements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical and logistical challenges on-site.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
