Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer cum QS to manage contracts and oversee projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in construction, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Quantity Surveying, and strong communication skills. This is a permanent position with a salary package ranging from $4,000 to $5,000, excluding variable bonuses.

• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm)
• Salary Package: Basic $4,000 - $5,000 + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contracts: perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and prepare tender and contract documents.
• Source suppliers and subcontractors and obtain quotations for tendering.
• Track all project costs, variation orders, and related expenses.
• Review progress payments and variation orders, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and process variations.
• Act as site/project engineer: supervise work, follow construction procedures, coordinate schedules, and liaise with the project manager and architect/consultants.
• Prepare progress and final accounts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Carry out other quantity surveying tasks as assigned by the manager or director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Positive working attitude with good communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or a related field.
