Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager on project matters.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and clients on site matters.
- Execute, monitor and ensure projects are completed on time.
- Maintain work quality according to specifications and requirements.
- Check drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain inspection records of works, materials, and all completed works.
- Implement cost control measures to meet project budget.
- Ensure site operations comply with project quality plan, environmental and occupational safety and health.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.
- Review and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and provide guidance to the site supervisors for timely completion.
- Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure work progress aligns with project timelines and adheres to quality standards.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Identify and resolve any technical or site-related issues.
- Prepare progress reports and documentation for project tracking.
- Assist the site manager and construction manager to coordinate and monitor work progress at site including periodical site inspection and attending meetings.
- Prevention and resolution of technical issues; conduct quality checks before, during and after installation.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure they can work in safe and productive conditions.
- Liaise with consultants on discrepancies in contract/construction drawings.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental practices.
- Prepare and submit method statements, monthly progress claims, and reports.
- Supervise on-site execution of piling, rebar, and structural activities.
- Address technical and engineering problems; liaise with subcontractors and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to track project progress and performance.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in civil works (or at least 3 years for general site engineer).
- Experience with infrastructure projects such as roads, rail, underground or MRT.
- Experience in managing D/wall, Bored Piling, Bulk Excavation, Tunnel Structure, Drain construction.
- Experience with utilities (dry: Telecom, Power, Gas; wet: Raw water, Potable Water) and traffic diversion.
- Experience with LTA or main contractor preferred.
- Min 2 years experience in LTA underground or MRT project (for some postings).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, BIM software.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team‑working skills.
- Fluent in English (Mandarin for some positions).
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good site supervision and safety compliance experience.
