Primary Roles
Ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsible for advanced planning, designing, integrating, installation, rigging and lifting equipment, including management of contractors and vendors.

Responsible for supervising and assessing the set-up of all project components, managing all aspects of an engineering project, preparing schedules, and communicating with clients about project progress.

Resource planning, scheduling, ordering, and coordination with HQ and site team, including managing sub-contractors.

Key Activities

  • Coordinate with project team i.e. architects, surveyors, construction manager, safety, and subcontractors to ensure that all projects are integrated and executed efficiently.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is progressing according to the plan and schedule.
  • Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Oversee and regularly review engineering processes and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Work independently and coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement new processes and technology, offering innovative solutions to customers.
  • Design, communicate and implement an operational plan; create and maintain cost estimates for projects and programs.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete the project, including preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; and select materials, equipment, and external contractors.
  • Liaise with other operational areas in the organization (engineering, design, drafting, technical) to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and meet project targets and milestones, ensuring smooth authority submission.
  • Solve technical issues such as drawing discrepancies, site condition changes, verify plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy, and raise RFIs when necessary.
  • Ensure accuracy of setting out, leveling, and site surveying; all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Support Project Manager in liaising with local authorities (where appropriate) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Liaise with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
  • Oversee quality control and assist the safety department in achieving health and safety targets on site.
  • Prepare method statements, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure all site inspections and records are as per client/developer requirements.
  • Ensure all testing and quantity inspections are carried out as per contract requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Monitor and control resource usage to prevent wastage and optimize efficiency.
Requirement
  1. Degree in Civil Engineering
  2. Minimum 2 years site coordination civil work experience
  3. Ability to manage and supervise site arrangements, disputes, work progress, and safety
  4. Preferable with RTO certification
