Job summary

A leading leisure and entertainment company in Singapore is seeking a Safety and Security officer to oversee safety practices and manage security operations. The role requires qualifications in safety management and security certification, as well as shift work availability. Successful candidates will have a strong ability to identify risks and manage public interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Advance Certificate in WSH or on the pathway to receive it.
• Minimum Senior Security Officer Certification required.
• Able to work under shift schedule.
• Have SPF Security Officer License.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

• Identify unsafe condition and unsafe work practice.
• Participate in risk management activities.
• Recommend and assist implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• To organize and attend the health safety check and environmental protection check and point out the problem for further improvement.

Security

• To manage access/entrance control of Visitor Management System for visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• To plan, deploy, monitor and control of security officers to patrolling of routes, perimeters, common area, buildings, etc.
• To manage traffic control and car park operations.
• Ensure accountability of all keys (physical / electronic) in the key press and ensure records are in order.
• To manage Security (CCTV) and Fire Systems in Fire Command Centre (FCC).
• To manage lost and found property.
• Be in-charge of FCC Control Room Day to day operations.
• Any other ad hoc duties and tasks assigned by management.

He/she will also assist the Safety Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Holder of the following courses as outlined in the Singapore WSQ framework;
  • Minimum Advance Certificate in WSH or minimally on the pathway to receive Advance Certificate qualification.
  • Minimum Senior Security Officer Certification required by local authorities.
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public and associates.
• Able to work under shift schedule basis.
• Have SPF Security Officer License.
