Salary Range: S$2,000 – 2,800

Working Hours: 5 days per week,

About the Role
As an Assembly Leader, you will lead and support a team in performing high-level assembly operations, ensuring product quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to production targets. You will also be responsible for training team members, maintaining 5S practices, and supporting continuous improvement within the assembly department.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly

  • Perform assembly of high-level components requiring interpretation of technical drawings, assembly specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Troubleshoot assembled units to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Design simple jigs and fixtures to support assembly processes.
  • Conduct testing and verification of completed assemblies.
  • Organize and coordinate team activities to achieve production and quality targets.
  • Monitor workmanship standards and ensure consistent quality output.
  • Train and mentor new employees and provide cross-training opportunities within the team.
  • Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards in the assembly area.
  • Assist the Assembly Supervisor in assigning jobs and preparing weekly timesheets.
  • Support re-work or modification activities at customer sites when required.

Quality

  • Ensure assembly work areas and tools comply with 5S standards and company best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Administration

  • Manage and safeguard all assembly-related documentation and records.
  • Coordinate teamwork and communication with other departments to ensure timely updates and on-time delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency enhancements within the assembly process.

Requirements

  • Minimum ITE/NITEC/HNTEC or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Experience working with multi-discipline teams in manufacturing or assembly environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and technical drawings.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and related tools).
  • Effective team player with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
