Job summary

foodpanda Singapore is seeking a Manager, Category Management to drive sourcing and merchandising within the New Verticals team. You will own P&L for assigned categories, develop strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure optimal selections and pricing to support pandamart growth.

The role requires 5+ years in FMCG/retail/category management, strong analytical and communication skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant.
5+ years' relevant work experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, account and category management.
Demonstrated track record of successful negotiations, influence and overall relationship management.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

Full P&L responsibility for the assigned categories, including revenue, margin & other supplier income.
Develop and execute aligned category strategies to meet KPIs.
Ensure pandamart has the right selections and best prices in the market.
Negotiate cost, funding and terms with suppliers; secure marketing spend and ensure reliable flow of goods to fulfilment centre.
Develop new sourcing and extended range for high quality, good value goods year-round.
Use data-driven decisions to forecast demand and ensure supply with marketing and supply chain.
Collaborate across Supply Chain, Operations, Imports, Pricing, Strategy, Finance and Marketing on strategic projects.
Lead commercial initiatives independently with internal and external stakeholders.
