Job description

We are seeking a Scientist with photonics experience to work on photonics integrated chips design, integration and engineering. The scientist will work on various research topics such as device design, photonic circuit and integration and packaging with commercial Si photonics and III-V fabrication, chip-based packaging, and optical to electronic testing and measurements.

Responsibilies:
  • Conduct research and development for Silicon photonics chips design, integration to packaging;
  • Design photonics integrated circuit, photonics integration and advanced packaging;
  • Collaborate with university and research institute for advancing technology;
  • Perform optical simulations and optimization;
  • Work with Si photonics foundry, integration partners, packaging and assembly manufacturers; and
  • Perform optical and electronic measurements.
Requirements:
  • Master or PhD Degree in Science and Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics or related discipline to Optics and Photonics;
  • 3 years working experience preferred;
  • Candidate is expected to be familiar with photonics waveguide and devices, optical simulation software, photonic layout software and understanding of photonics fabrication and advanced packaging;
  • Experience with optical and electronic test and measurements; and
  • Commercial photonics product design and product engineering is preferred.
