Shipping & Transport Specialist - Your future position?


As a temp Shipping & Transport Specialist, you will handle export shipments (Local & Drop) to Customers and Affiliates. Aside from that, you will handle shipment related enquiries from internal and external customers.


Work location: 1 Woodlands Avenue 8


Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager


Main Responsibilities


  • Shipment booking - Provide information to forwarders for vessel/flight/truck/courier service booking

  • Follow up with forwarders on booking details and provide the same to Customer Care Front Office (CCFO)/Affiliates

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team on order fulfilment

  • Check Letter Of Credit (LC) from Bank, and highlight to CCFO if requirements on specific documents/shipment arrangement cannot be fulfilled

  • Shipment Planning - Perform shipment planning in SAP one day before GI / on GI day (depending on cargo readiness) to produce shipping documents

  • Provide required shipping docs (Shipping Order, Invoice, Packing List, DG declaration, etc.) to forwarders for Export permit declaration, Bill Of Lading / Airway Bill preparation, FTA Forms application, etc.

  • Apply Chamber Certificate Of Origin/Insurance Certificate, etc., based on customer\'s requirements. Follow up with relevant departments for other certificate / external test results required by customers

  • Partner with overseas affiliates/service provider on shipping documents for Drop-shipments

  • Provide full set of shipping docs to affiliates/CCFO for their forwarding to customers

  • Arrange to dispatch Original shipping documents to Bank/customers/affiliates

  • Archive shipping docs in SAP shipments

  • Coordinate with stakeholders on return shipments

  • Backup team members during their absence

  • Freight invoice verification

  • Provide support to Finance / QM during internal and external audits

  • Involve in CI activities (CI Projects, PDCA, Gemba Walk, etc).


Main Requirements


  • Diploma of any field of study, or A-level certification and above

  • 1~3 years in the industry handling Export shipments including LC negotiation, dangerous goods handling, etc.

  • SAP knowledge (nice to have)
