Responsibilities
- Monitor daily vessel schedules and cargo conditions (e.g., temperature, tank pressure, etc.).
- Communicate with port agents and authorities to update and manage vessel line‑ups and port schedules.
- Prepare and distribute daily vessel itineraries to charterers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the Tokyo Office regarding vessels calling at Japanese ports.
- Liaise with the in‑house ship management company on vessel inspection schedules (SIRE/CDI).
- Provide regular feedback to the chartering team on vessel stowage, voyage progress, and cargo operations.
- Develop initial voyage and stowage plans, including vessel rotation, cargo sequence, and tank cleaning schedules.
- Coordinate with vessels to verify stowage plans, cleaning hours, and rotation details.
- Arrange and monitor supply requirements such as bunkers, fresh water, detergents, and cleaning chemicals.
- Manage operational issues during voyages and port operations in coordination with ship managers.
- Conduct vessel visits in Singapore and attend overseas ports for cargo operations when required.
- Upload port documents, Bills of Lading, and other voyage‑related files to shared systems.
- Input voyage data for charter‑based calculations and maintain accurate voyage records.
- Handle agency appointments and approve PDA/FDA via the DA‑Desk system.
- Support demurrage calculation, follow‑up, and settlement processes.
- Perform other ad‑hoc tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma in Maritime Studies
- At least 1‑2 years of working experience in a similar operations role in the marine industry
- Previous experience specifically in chemical tanker shipping operations is an advantage
