Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage ship repair, construction, and conversion projects from planning to completion, ensuring schedules, costs, and quality standards are met.
• Chair daily VSCC meetings to coordinate hot-works and incompatible jobs onboard, safeguarding personnel and property.
• Monitor project critical paths, resolve on-site conflicts, and coordinate sequential activities to keep work on track.
• Liaise closely with classification societies, ship owners, engineers, vessel crew, and agents to achieve successful project delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering teamwork and trust.
• Identify and capture additional works, preparing detailed work lists and liaising with the Commercial Department for competitive pricing.
• Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and naval/marine quality standards.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 -7 years’ experience in project management for ship repairs within marine or heavy industries.
• Possess SRM Certificate
• Knowledge of project scope involving pipe and cable laying.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; able to manage projects independently.
