Fearnleys AS is a major international shipbroking company providing chartering, sale & purchase, and newbuilding contracting services. In addition to our main office in Oslo, we provide shipping services from 14 countries world-wide. The company is a part of the Astrup Fearnley group which is engaged in financial services, offshore rig & supply vessel services, and energy broking. The group employs over 400 personnel in 14 countries globally.

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of a Tanker Shipbroker (Junior) based in our Singapore Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will start of supporting day-to-day activities of the Broker(s) and increase your knowledge and capabilities build.
  • Collecting and coordinating the information flow and reports as well as gathering market intelligence.
  • Establishing relationships, existing and new, develop business leads to fixture conclusion

Qualities required for this role
  • An education degree ideally majoring in Maritime, Shipping or Engineering, but this is not essential for someone with prior experience in the industry.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping will be an advantage, prior experience in chartering will be a bonus.
  • Member of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is an advantage
  • Confident and able to handle pressure

  • The job will require work outside of normal hours since the shipping market never sleeps.
