Job summary

A reputable recruitment agency is seeking a chemical plant operator in Singapore. The role involves operating and monitoring equipment, following safety procedures, and minimizing risks. Candidates must hold a diploma in Chemical Engineering and have at least 2 years of experience in a chemical processing environment. This position offers a dynamic work environment requiring shift work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment.
• Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Ability to work shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment for safe production.
• Follow documented procedures including SOP, EHS regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors.

Job description

Responsibility

• Operate, monitor, and control plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Apply chemical plant operation knowledge to follow documented procedures (e.g. Standard operating procedure-SOP, EHS regulations, risk assessment).
• Carry out minor troubleshooting and have good knowledge to safely prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Capable to recognize unsafe plant condition and promptly report any near miss / deviations / incidents to his supervisor.
• To demonstrate strong ownership, team spirit, challenge and sincerity.

Requirements

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in a chemical processing environment. Experience in polymerization and/or extrusion is advantageous.
• Possess basic Knowledge of chemical processing with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO 45001, SS651.
• Able to work shift in a fast-paced environment.
